The AACD is the largest non-profit member organization dedicated to advancing excellence in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. The Accreditation process, which was developed by the AACD, is the world’s most recognized advanced credentialing program for cosmetic dentistry.

Accreditation in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry involves a rigorous clinical testing process. The process begins with a written examination and then progress to a series of clinical cases that cover a number of different situations and feature differing levels of complexity. Finally, Accreditation is achieved after passing an oral examination. The entire process typically takes years to complete.
